My boy is back!

Well, my boy is back and it is so nice to have him here.  He didn't get a great report from the puppy sitter but it was all things that I knew about and have been working on.  They said they liked him and that he was super sweet and really good out in public so that is good.  I was surprised how much he grew.  I dropped off a twenty pound baby and picked up a 27 pound toddler. lol Here he is in my car on the way home.  He was really happy to see me and went a little crazy.  But, we didn't go straight home I took him to run some errands and he was great.  I am so happy he is legal.
We went to drop my computer off with a friend to fix it.  (Vladd shut off about a month ago and has been dead ever since, I am really hoping he can be revived before school starts next month or I am in trouble, it was hard enough ending the last semester without him I can't do it again!  Please Vladd come back, I miss you!)  We also went to Wal-mart to get a few things and he was okay there.  A tad more distracted than I had hoped and he wouldn't stop rubbing his face on my leg and I kept tripping, so we kept wal-mart short and left before I had everything I needed.  Then I had to run to school to sort some stuff out with my registration (they had me listed as non-resident, what the crap!)  So I took the opportunity to give Fullerton a tour of the school that he will be frequenting starting next month.  He did really well and we got stopped a lot and he sat patiently and let people pet him.  (Has anyone else, especially those with yellow dogs, noticed that people call your dogs Marley A LOT lately?  Fullerton sure got that about a million times today)  Anyway, here he is in the gift shop at UVU.
And I gave him his Jolly Ball (I left a wrapped sterilized bone with the puppy sitters to give him on Christmas and they said he loved it.)  The Jolly Ball was sure a hit, he loved it.
I also got updates on a couple of my dogs while I was gone.  When I got back I had an e-mail from Adelines mom.  Adeline continues to do really well at agility her speed is getting better too.  This is when she completed a fast and accurate course with 21 obstacles.  Good job Addie! Here are the pictures from her latest competition, she looks like she is really cruisin'.

I also got a bit of an update on Sherman, which I am still smiling about.  A woman that I know from a e-mailing list sent me this message:

My daughter and I were out shopping at the mall and ran into Sherman and his partner. I said I knew his original puppy raiser from online. She said to let you know how much she loves him! He has really gotten into her heart! She is hoping he will be fully hers soon. He is working about 70 percent accuracy. Not sure what they have to be to be fully successful. Wanted to pass on the info to you.
I don't even have words to describe how happy I am. I am so glad that she loves him and that he is working well for her.  He was definitely a remarkable dog and was meant to have a job.  I am happy he is out there doing his thing and I hope he is officially hers soon too!! I also hope his accuracy gets better too I bet that would make the "official" process go a bit quicker.  But, I am happy to know he is loved.  Keep up the awesome work Sherman.  I miss you baby boy!
Well, have a grand night everyone.

MEXICO

Here are a few of my Mexico pictures.  We all had a blast, but blogger got them all out of order so I will do the best I can in regard to commentary. :)

This is when we first got on the ship my dad, sister Ashley, me and my g-ma (and roommate) by the pool.
My bro-in-law rented a Rhino and we cruised around Mazatlan it was pretty fun and crazy, driving and traffic is INSANE in Mexico.
Me going down the rock slide. Unfortunately I went off the wrong side and hit a rock, therefore bashing up my knees pretty good. It was still fun and I did it a few more times after that, just made sure to go off the other side and avoid the rock. You can kinda see my terrified look because I could see the rock I was going to hit. LOL
All my sibs on formal night.  Me, Ashley, Whitney, Brady, Haley and Tori.
Playing Shuffle Board on the ship, I totally conquered my sisters.  It was pretty fun.
Me and Tori dancing outside the mens room.  We got some weird looks from a bunch of guys leaving the bathroom, but we had a lot of fun making up our own dances.
This guy did an oil panting on a tile for me. It is gorgeous and he only uses his fingers and fingernails it is amazing to watch him.
Our Taxi driver with my nephew Cannon. If anyone is in Puerto Vallarto I highly recommend "Nacho" he is a good driver and knows all the best hangout spots!
This sign just made me laugh!!
Me Para Sailing on Christmas Eve, it was probably the coolest thing I have ever done!
Me with Senior Frog the spokes frog for Corona Beer, he is EVERYWHERE in Mazatlan.
Our Boat, I love that boat it was so fun
My first time playing the slots. I put in 3 dollars and won $20, it was awesome. But I stopped while I was ahead. WOOHOO!! This is me and my winnings.
Brady, me and Tori as the boat took off from LA
All in all Mexico was fantastic and i would love to go again someday.  But I am happy to be home (and not a a boat where I got sea sick for two days, not fun) lol

I'm Back and 6th picture

RULES: what you do is go to your Picture Folder, and in the 6th folder, choose the 6th picture and tell the story behind that photo. And then tag six more people to play!
This was Christmas Eve 2005. The story is I was trying to paint Prudys toe nails (red and green) Like I did every Christmas. Well, she wasn't really into it this year and after I had painted two or three nails she kicked the nail polish bottle out of my hand and it sprayed all over her, my jeans and the carpet and since her toes were wet she tracked it all over. (We still have the stains on the carpet and if you enlarge the picture you can see a lot of red paint on her fanny) and then she went over to my grandma (who doesn't like dogs) for sympathy. It was so cute and my grandma felt so bad for her she let Prudy rest her head on her lap and my g-ma patted her on the head. That lasted a whole whoppin five minutes before Prudy came back to me and snuggled in my lap for some mommy love. :)

And I tag anyone who hasn't been tagged and wants to play.

Anyway, I just got back from Mexico and I had a blast. It was so much fun. (Look for a post later) now I am trying to kill the time before I go pick up my boy (who I miss SO much) I am excited to get him back and I hope he was okay for the sitter. It is nice to be back home. I just got finished reading up on every ones blog and it sounds like you all had a great holiday! Toodles for now.

Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays, Seasons Greetings. . . what have you

Well, Fuller is over at the puppy sitters, my bags are packed and I need some sleep before we head out (at 4am, *sigh*) so I leave you with this.

MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!!
I hope everyone has a fantastic holiday!!

GUESS WHO'S LEGAL!!

Hey everyone!
Fullerton is LEGAL WooHoo! I can't believe he is so old. :)
So, after Fullerton got his shots he got to play out in the snow off leash for the first time. He really enjoyed it (eating it mostly) Here you can see his Santa impression with the white beard. :) (and the tongue makes me laugh)
"Mommy my toes are cold."
We only stayed out for about 10 minutes until he started shivering. It was pretty pathetic looking but I am excited for my little man.

And here is a video of him. I always do this little test to make sure my puppies really understand the "okay" command. So here it is. He did so good. He jumps after every word I say though, pretty cute but he knows it. :)

I better go I need to pack up his stuff and take him over to the puppy sitter in a little bit. Toodles for now. :)

14 weeks

Since Fullerton has been having some riding in the car issues I have been taking him for random car rides every day. (And with the current gas prices I don't feel so guilty about it either) The day before yesterday I took him to go fill my car with gas. I got out and started pumping the gas and I look over and see this adorable face looking at me. This is his "ha ha you are out in the frigid cold whilst I wait for you inside the warm car" face.
Here is Fuller in the snow. He was more interested in eating it than anything else. It is also very difficult to get him to potty in it, but we are getting there. :)

In other Fullerton news he is doing great. He is pretty easy to manage for a puppy his age. He has lost two more teeth (the front ones on the bottom) so now he looks silly and is all gums in the front. He is still quite opinionated and we are working on it, but he not nearly as vocal as he was when he arrived. He is definitely my loudest puppy so far and just wants me to know when he doesn't approve of something. His commands are coming along, he is very smart and picked them up really quickly. I don't think any of my 3 month old pups knew all the commands that he does at this point. He is back on his kibble (YAY no more rice and cottage cheese) and is doing well on it. (He is still on his meds so time will tell) I was kinda worried about his weight he was looking REALLY skinny while on the rice/cottage cheese diet and I could not get him to gain any. Last Saturday (the 6th) he was 18 pounds but he started transitioning back to kibble the day after that and today is is almost 25 pounds. I feel much better with him like that, and he looks so much better too. His last vet appointment is on Thursday and then he will be "official" I am so excited and hopefully that is the last time we have to go for a long while, I think the vet is getting sick of seeing us. :) Well, I guess that is about it from here. Hope everyone is having a good week!

Oh, and in regards to the getting hit by a car. I am totally fine. I was walking across the parking lot and a lady backed into me. She stopped right away and she wasn't going very fast. I scuffed up my hands a bit and have a monstrous bruise on my thigh where the car hit me and on my hip where the pavement hit me. :) It wasn't that bad I was just in a foul mood that day. :)

It's been a good day. . .

Today was long and dull and well it pretty much sucked. I was constantly contradicted at work and I got hit by a car in the parking lot!! I mean, look in your rear view mirror people!! Anyway, all my frustration and anger just went away when I got home and opened my e-mail and had two messages that instantly put a smile on my face. One was titled Sherman, and the other Spanky!!!

The one from Sherman said:

Hi Megan,
Sherman continues to live with potential partner and work on consistency. He is doing well.

I am glad that he is still doing well. He has been with his "potential" partner for a little over a month now so hopefully he is "official" soon!

The best news though is that Spanky has a home!!! I am so happy that he was placed before the holidays so that he can spend them with his new family! Here is the message I got from his new mom: (and yes, she already contacted me, I am already loving this match)

Dear Megan,

Thank you for raising Spanky to be such a great dog. In the short week he
has been with us, we have all fallen madly in love with him. Your
description of him was very accurate. He is sweet and loving, smart and
goofy. He is also beautiful.

I have the year off from my teaching job, so Spanky and I have a lot of
bonding time. I take him for daily walks in a wooded area and he has had a
few play dates with other dogs. He is wonderful on the leash except when he
is tempted by other dogs, then he needs a bit of reminding. After school,
where he charms everyone, my fifth grade daughter ___ practices retrieving
a ball in the park with him. He is a quick learner.

We look forward to taking him to the beach to swim and to building many
family memories together. Spanky is a dear and has brought lots of joy and
laughter into our lives.

Thanks and best wishes for the holidays.
I am so happy for him. It sounds like just the right place for him, and I am sure he is loving it! Here is a pictures she sent me too. :D

I guess it wasn't such a bad day after all. :D

Success at the mall

Our last puppy class was at the mall last Saturday and Fullerton did fantastic. We have three new family's coming so it looks like our group is going to be growing again soon. We are expecting four new pups in the fall, so YAY!! Anyway, at the mall we worked on dog distractions and food distractions. Fuller didn't participate in the dog distraction excersizes but he got to watch. He was handled by one of the new raisers and just had to sit nicely. Which he did. :) He was also handled by the girl who is going to puppy sit him over Christmas and she is in love. He is half brother to the pup she sent back a few months ago. She is so excited to have him for 10 days. I am glad he left a good impression, hopefully he behaves himself while he is there. Anyway, he got to do food distractions a little bit. Our leader had the new family's walk around with some pieces of bread and offer then to the dogs. I was handling a FBL named Safari and she was awesome. She tried to take it the first time and after a little correction she didn't try and take any more. What a good girl. I also handled Myra during dog distractions and she was flawless. :) After that our leader had us walk the dogs around the mall, down the elevator and through the food court and then back. I took Fullerton for this part and he was absolutely AWESOME! I was so proud, he did great through the crowds of people and through the busy, fun smelling food court. The girl I was walking with and me got sidetracked and ended up loosing the group and then got lost in the mall so we walked around for a while. I was so proud of Fullerton, he was just marvelous. I could not have wished for my little 12 week old pup to do any better. We eventually found the rest of the group but then it was time to go. So I think my boy is definitely on the right track, he is quite confident and nothing really phases him much. Oh, and he has stopped protesting the "down" command. Which is good and kinda sad at the same time, his little leg kick always made me laugh. Everything is just clicking together.
This is our quick trip to Waly-world. As you can see he has finally grown enough to fit the GDB Puppy sleeve on his jacket. It still looks a tad funky, but is cute anyway. :)
AND. . .
He lost his two front teeth yesterday. Both of them within about 10 minutes of each other. (I did manage to locate one, but the other is gone) I don't remember any of my pups loosing teeth this early, they usually started around 4-5 months. He looks a little silly now. It is hard to see in the pic but I added some arrows to show where they were, just look for the dark pinkish red spots. :) He is growing too fast. I keep singing the "All I want for Christmas is my Two Front Teeth" song to him. (There is still one more on the top and two on the bottom that are loose too, EEK!!)

Around the Corner!

Well, with Christmas just around the corner I asked Fullerton what he wanted. He only had one request, a Jolly Ball that had not been chomped on by four other dog and well, I was more than happy to grant his request. (The old Jolly Ball has just been begging to be thrown out for a while) So, I went online and found a relatively cheap one (thank you Kings Wholesale) and also got a few things to send off to Adeline and Homie. So I am pretty much done with Christmas Shopping (well, of he canine variety) Yay me! I only have a few other human gifts to get. :) Anyway, I am getting off the intended subject, but now I am debating whether to give the Jolly Ball to Fullertons puppy sitters (I am going out of town from the 20th to the 29th) and having them give it to them or waiting until I get home to give it to him myself. I am leaning more toward having a late Christmas and giving it to him, besides the puppy sitters might think I am a tad mental if I ask them to give him a Christmas present. :)

I don't really have anything interesting to say, I am mostly just bored. So toodles for tonight, I do have to tell you about Fullertons recent puppy class so watch for that soon. (I need to get to bed so I won't type it out right now) Oh, and this is my second post in a row with no pictures. It is not often that I do pictureless posts so, enjoy. :) I've been told that the amount of pictures and videos on my blog can be quite overwhelming so I am trying to "cut down" lol Have a good night.

"Fullerton, down" ~ Sigh

Okay so Fullerton is totally rebelling the down command. (It's okay, no worries, he is still young and we have a LONG time to work out the kinks) I know he knows it, he just doesn't like it. He does this thing where he pushes himself back and then kicks up his front feet before he goes down (I can just imagine the cogs going in his head, "I was laying down because. . . I had. . . an itch, ya that's right, an itch" ha ha) or he waits a second and then does this "I will down because I want to, NOT because you told me so." Or he gives himself an excuse to down on his own (like after I say it he will "pretend" to see something on the floor that interests him and then will down. It is goofy and kinda funny. You just have to see it. :)

Well, we are getting there. :)
Have I mentioned that I love this puppy. He is kinda a mix of Prudy and Spanky with a dash of Tahoma and a sprinkle of Sherman. ha ha! He's great! :)

Month day and First Outing

Well, Myra is gone. She left yesterday and she was a very nice little house guest for the holiday. I forgot to mention that she is Spankys half sister. They share the same dad (Domingo) and I can actually see a lot of similarities between them, both in looks and personality. (The only thing she is lacking is Spankys neurotic side. . . which is a good thing) I actually called her Spanky a few times. Oops! But she was fantastic. This is her in my 3-D glasses after seeing the movie Bolt. (which is super cute) I thought it was funny.
Myra and Fullertons last pic together. It was so cute Fullerton would always go and sit under Myra when she would stand like that. They are some sweet pups.
Today is Fullertons 3 month birthday. I weighed him in today at 20 pounds. He is definitely growing. So, for his 3 month day I took him on his first outing and he did marvelous. He was a bit sniffy and "environmentally aware" but what can you expect from a 12 week old puppy on his first trip to the grocery store. It was a quick in and out grabbing some whipped cream on the way. We got stopped by one person who cooed about him and told me a long story about her childhood lab. . . and Fullerton did a wonderful "sit, stay" while she talked. I was very impressed his "stay" is really coming along. (in the picture his eye is a little messed up because of the Halti, silly thing is not conducive for great picture taking. *sigh*)

On the way out I ran through an isle with random holiday/celebration stuff and this hat was too cute not to try on him. He was a sport though. :)

Unfortunately, (as of yesterday) he is back on his rice and cottage cheese meals. *sigh* I was really hoping we were over it but it came back with a VENGEANCE!! He got a new prescription from the vet that he will have to take for 3 weeks and then *cross your fingers* he will be okay after that. Other than that he is a great little pup and is learning new things every day, he is so smart and is already showing some great initiative and not much phases him. (except getting in the car, once he is in he is fine but he doesn't like getting in, we are working on that) :) Have a great week everyone!
